Singapore Airlines added two services to its destinations yesterday – a three times weekly service to Abu Dhabi from Singapore and service to Moscow via Dubai.

The airline says the new Abu Dhabi service compliments existing flights to Dubai and will continue on to Jeddah in Saudi Arabia.  “This service will benefit business and leisure travelers who want direct and  convenient links between Singapore, South East Asia and South West Pacific and the Gulf region,” said Huang Cheng Eng, Singapore Airlines’ executive vice president, Marketing and the Regions.

Singapore Airlines is the only airline operating between Abu Dhabi and Singapore.

Including Singapore Airlines new service to Moscow and the re-routing of the three-times-weekly Jeddah flights via Abu Dhabi, Singapore Airlines now serves the UAE 13 time’s weekly – 10 times to Dubai and three times to Abu Dhabi, the airline said in a statement.

Abu Dhabi is the largest of the seven Emirates that comprise the United Arab Emirates.  An exporter of oil since the 1960s, Abu Dhabi is a modern and prosperous state and in recent times, this Emirate has emerged as a major financial hub in the Middle East, while also enhancing its reputation as a leading Middle Eastern tourist destination.
