Kuwir Lawar Sensation in Monkey Village

For citizens Bali certainly no stranger to the name Sangeh, the resorts where we can see the ‘village’ of hundreds of monkeys. In addition to monkeys, in Sangeh we can also taste delicious Lawar Kuwir (duck/fixed) Men Sono.

Sangeh is a village where the monkeys roam freely in a hill called Bukit Sari. There was also a Hindu temple called Pura Bukit Sari.

According to local legend, Bukit Sari and this monkey was there when Hanuman, a character in the epic Ramayana, lifting the mountain Mahameru. Some parts of this mountain fell in there and since then a monkey in charge.

Well this time I will not discuss about the monkey in Sangeh, but special food Sangeh Village.

If you happen to travel to Sangeh, or toward the evening or Kintamani, you will find a restaurant with no signs and other campaign, because that place in the yard.

His name Lawar Kuwir Restaurant Men or Mother Sono. Simple shop is quite popular among a guide or tour guide, foreign tourists and civil servants (civil servants) in the area north of Badung.

The price is too cheap, just Rp. 10,000 per share, white rice, vegetable Lawar or kuwir & jukut Ares (young banana stems). This Lawar pare served with vegetables, of course, with the base ingredient genep or complete and it made our tongues wagging.

But unfortunately, in serving food to visitors Sono Men provides only a spoon without a fork.
