Yogyakarta City designated as the city’s best tourist destination, so the right entitled Indonesia Tourism Award (ITA) in 2009. While nine of the best tourist destination other Denpasar, Malang, Surabaya, Tana Toraja, Manado, Kutai Kartanegara, Badung (Bali), Solo, and West Lombok.
For a special award (Tourism Special Award) given to Wakatobi, Raja Ampat, West Manggarai Regency, Kota Jember, Purbalingga City, Province of West Nusa Tenggara, North Sulawesi, Riau Islands province, Nanggroe Aceh Darussalam, Central Sulawesi and the have advantages and uniqueness of tourism.
ITA Awards 2009 was the first provided by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism (Depbudpar) in cooperation with SWA magazine is presented by the Culture and Tourism Jero Wacik at Hotel Nikko Jakarta, Friday (13/11) night.
Culture and Tourism Jero Wacik said, Indonesia Tourism Award is intended to encourage and stimulate the national tourism industry, “ITA is the first time, but this step will be history in the future,” said Culture and Tourism Jero Wacik.
Provision of ITA based on the results of a survey of 1625 respondents in 25 cities across Indonesia by the numbers Regional Regional Income (PRD) of the tourism sector.
