Exhibition ‘Belove Sumatra’ in Leiden and Singapore Starting in 2010 the Museum Visit

Program Year 2010 Museum visit is an effort to encourage public awareness of the importance of museums as well as increase the number of museum visitors who are part of the National Movement of Love Museum (GNCM). GNCM started in 2010 until 2014 is a strategic step in realizing the revitalization of the museum in Indonesia as an effort to improve the quality of service according to the function of museums to the public.

A total of 230 cultural objects from the collection of Rijksmuseum voor Volkenkunde, Leiden, the Netherlands, the National Museum of Indonesia (MNI), Provincial Museum; North Sumatra, West Sumatra, Jambi, South Sumatra, and the Conservation Center of Archeological Heritage (BP3) of the province; Jambi, South Sumatra and Bengkulu and West Sumatra Riau exhibited in the museum Volkenkunde Leiden from October 14, 2009 until 25 April 2010.

The theme Belove Sumatra, entrance fee of one euro exhibition will be donated to the handling of post-earthquake West Sumatra. Sumatara cultural treasures exhibition is then continued at the Civilization Museum, Singapore. Earlier this exhibition held at the National Museum of Jakarta on June 8 to 8 September 2009.
