About 12 Thousand Travelers Depart from Gambir

About 12 thousand more travelers depart from Gambir Railway Station, Central Jakarta, Friday, to a number of destination cities including Bandung, Cirebon, Semarang, Yogyakarta, Solo, and Surabaya.

Head of Gambir Railway Station Sudharta Ata says that number will continue to grow, considering there are a number of tickets are not sold.

He estimated the peak flow forth through Gambir Station Lebaran happens this Friday with the number of passengers transported about 14 thousand.

“It could reach 14 to 15 thousand passengers. However, so far has about 12 thousand tickets sold,” he said.

Lebaran transport passenger volume at Gambir Railway Station continues to increase since September 11, 2009 and tens of thousands of passengers have ridden into town each destination.

According to Ata, his side have prepared well in advance in order to provide good service to passengers.
