Miscellaneous endeavors are carried out to venerate the presence of knowledge. They range from “Book Appreciation Night” as the resource of knowledge up to the presentation of Nobel Prize to scientists who succeed to implement and invent new sciences. Nobel Prize is awarded every year and today it becomes a prestigious event to the world scientist.
Balinese people have different manner to appreciate the knowledge. They will engulf the public temple or school’s temple becoming the springs of knowledge (at school). If you do not believe, you may come to see in person to some schools, chiefly state schools managed by Hindu devotees in Bali on 1 August 2009. On that day, they celebrate the coming down of knowledge called Sarasvati Day.
Sarasvati poses a name of knowledge goddess conveyed as a beautiful woman (signifying that knowledge is always interesting). She brings along with repository (used to store palm leaf manuscript); genitri (a string beads symbolizing that knowledge is eternal along the lifetime and should be endlessly), sacred book symbolizing the resource of knowledge; veena, a stringed instrument reflecting that knowledge can influence the human aesthetic.
