Qingdao International Tourism Expo (QITE) 2006 will be held in the costal city of Qingdao, August 11-13, 2006. A partner city of Beijing Olympics 2008, the historic and cultural city of Qingdao attracts a great number of tourists. In 2005, Qingdao received 684,000 overseas and 24.49 million domestic tourist arrivals.

QITE 2005 attracted travel and tourism professionals and media from over 30 countries with 5,000 trade visitors and 30,000 public visitors. The 16th Qingdao International Beer Festival will be held coincidently with QITE and is expected to attract three million visitors.
