Art and Culture from several countries in Asia and Africa come from Wednesday until Sunday (16 / 8) in Bali, exactly in Mertasari Beach, Sanur. Activities were framed in Art and Culture Festival of Asia and Africa (Asia Africa Art & Culture Festival) organized by the Asia Africa Foundation (AAF). “The purpose of this activity is the implementation and maintenance agencies arts of Asia and Africa as well as introducing them to the community,” said event manager AAF, Ari Satoto in Sanur, Wednesday.
Countries that sent delegates include India (dance of the Jawaharlal Nehru Indian Cultural Center), China (dance and kung fu from the Little Golden Phoenix, Children arts Group Shunde City), Japan (Okinawa dance from Mr. Garrett Thurs and origami workshops from Japan Foundation ), and the art of painting from Turkey. There are also some countries that send the results of art and culture to be exhibited as from Iran.
He also said the delegates in advance of other countries asking for assurance of security for their members. “But eventually they believe Indonesia is safe and they want to come. We suggested that the examination will be tightened by the authorities but that for security together,” said Ari.
Festival of Arts and Culture in Asia and Africa was held in Sanur Village Festival site that also runs from Wednesday until Sunday (16 / 8). Ari suggests, Bali was chosen as the implementation of the festival so that these activities more ogled by the international community because Bali is a popular tourist destination. AAF was founded in 2002 by Prof. Dr. Ruslan Abdulgani (alm), who served as Secretary General of the Asian-African Conference 1955 in Bandung, West Java.
“Mr. Ruslan AAF formed as a forum to revitalize the Asian-African Conference of the Dasa Sila Bandung.Anggota AAF is all countries in the Asia-Africa. AAF cooperation with Asian countries of Africa have representation in Indonesia, around 30 countries,” said Ari. AAF later this year will hold activities involving Asia and Africa such as business and trade forum, the forum of children and youth forum.
